Macca and Money Grabber Mills

Macca and Money Grabber Mills

Scouse rock legend and former husband of money grabbing peg-leg, Heather Mills, has been booked to open the new Hard Rock Casino and Hotel Joint in Las Vegas. Macca is due to play at the Hard Rock on April 19th with tickets going on general sale from February 14th.

Macca, who is probably still reeling from the Heather Mills divorce settlement, is to due to open what is billed as a ‘completely new building’ feating capacity of over 4,000. The building is part of the $800million expansion at Hard Rock.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino VP of entertainment Paul Davis said; “We needed a bigger venue to accommodate the type of acts that this property has an appetite for. It just makes it a lot more palatable to do those acts in a room that has arena-level production capabilities and a bigger capacity.”

That could be a venue worth checking out. Although probably not when Macca is there!

Virgin Atlantic have cut their prices for direct flights to Las Vegas with prices now as low as £340 for a return economy flight. That represents superb value for British Las Vegas tourists. The same flights, only 9 months ago, were almost twice that price. Good work Mr Branson. Keep those prices down! At least there are some benefits to a recession!

The huge buffets are beginning to take affect on the citizens of Las Vegas. A recent survey found that the City of Sin is the fourth fattest city in the United States.

Men’s Fitness Magazine says Las Vegas is so unhealthy due to the diets of the general population. It also cited a lack of public parks and exercise areas, such as basketball courts, as a reason why Las Vegas ranks so highly on the obese charts. Other “fat cities” in American include; Miami, Oklahoma City, San Antonio, and New York City.

So the next time you’re piling up that buffet plate just keep one eye on your waistline!
